The company comes into its own in the design and development of innovative ideas. It is particularly interested in the search for new forms and new applications of instruments that have traditionally been used to see and look at the world.
Its know-how, a mix of quality and research, has enabled it to develop highly creative designs and totally new objects in cooperation with the big names of contemporary design.
Palomar is based in Florence, in a historical palace in the city centre, and showcases the results of its work in the “Palomar Sciorùm”, a neo-Renaissance loggia adjoining the palace, which also hosts special events.
Palomar è un’azienda italiana che fin dal 1956 si inserisce nella grande tradizione ottica fiorentina. L’attuale management ha scelto di svilupparne la vocazione al design, coniugando con abilità passato e presente.
Nella progettazione e nello sviluppo di idee originali, l’azienda esprime al meglio sé stessa, ponendo grande attenzione alla ricerca di nuove forme e nuovi utilizzi degli strumenti tradizionalmente dedicati alla visione ed allo sguardo sul mondo.

Palomar ha sede a Firenze in uno storico palazzo nel centro cittadino ed espone al pubblico i risultati del proprio percorso nel design nello spazio espositivo “Palomar Sciorùm” una loggia neo rinascimentale annessa al palazzo, dove vengono anche organizzati eventi speciali.
